Tony and Cathy Bridge purchased a large North Cyprus Villa with private pool through North Cove Estates in July 2011. They approached the company just moving to the island with a view to renting for a couple of months whilst looking for their dream home. After a week of viewing properties in Northern Cyprus with several agents, they got the ‘right feeling’ with a property we showed them in Lapta. After having the offer accepted it was just a matter of two short weeks before they were moving into their stunning new home in Northern Cyprus.

1) How long have you been visiting the TRNC?
We have visited the TRNC only twice before deciding to move here permanently.
2) What made you decide to purchase a property in Northern Cyprus?
We enjoyed visiting the villages on the West of Kyrenia and decided that this was the area we would really like to live in.
3) How long did you spend looking at property in Northern Cyprus?
We first looked while visiting in 2010 and then spent about 9 months looking online before coming over in 2011 to physically view some properties. We found what we were looking for within a week of arriving!
4) What made you decide on the property you purchased?
We liked the area first and foremost, and we liked the layout of the property. Also, the property area encompassed a large front and back garden with many fruit trees, colourful flowers and bushes.
5) How did you find the process of purchasing a property?
We found the process surprisingly swift but very efficient.
6) What are the things you love most about Northern Cyprus?
The weather is wonderful but the people are all so friendly, in fact, we have made friends with local neighbours, who have been very kind and friendly to us as new residents. The way of life here is much more laid back and relaxing.
7) What are your plans for the future?
We want to spend our retirement here and just relax & enjoy our lives here in Northern Cyprus.

We first came to Northern Cyprus in 2003 and fell in love with it straight away. Since then, we have been back and forth many times
2) What made you decide to purchase a property in Northern Cyprus?
When our Family had all left home we found ourselves in a more secure financial situation. This enabled us to start thinking 
about investing in a property abroad
3) How long did you spend looking for property in Northern Cyprus?
We first contacted North Cove Estates at the beginning of 2014; we informed them that we were planning a 10 day trip to Cyprus in the near future and arranged to have days viewing with them when we arrived.
4) What made you decide on the property you purchased?
We had seen an apartment on a complex that we liked even though it would have needed work done to suit our needs. However, it was proving difficult to get a second viewing. In the meantime North Cove Estates talked to the owners of another property for sale on the same complex which was ready to move into. A price was negotiated by them which was too good to refuse!
5) How did you find the process of purchasing a property?
It couldn’t have been simpler! Prior to our visit we answered all of North Coves’ questions regarding our needs and budget, which enabled them to show us a range of properties that fit the bill, it was simply down to us to decide which suited us best.
6) What are the things you love most about Northern Cyprus?
The weather obviously! Also, most people speak English which makes it easy to make yourself understood; it is comparatively unspoilt, beautiful scenery, the wonderful food we could go on & on! Currently, the exchange rate is very much in our favour, which is an added bonus
7) What are your plans for the future?
Now we are both fully retired, we plan to make the most of our apartment while we can, we intend to visit three times a year for up to six weeks at a time, we also look forward to having our grandchildren out to stay when they’re a little older.
